On Friday, June 8, Ottawa is invited to the Hall of Power exhibit & mixer!
Students in the Grade 12 photography program at John McCrae Secondary School have curated a special event that hopes to engage the Ottawa arts community, Hiphop enthusiasts and professionals.
Reflecting on Hiphop’s powerful effect of embracing female voices and empowering individuals coping with mental illness, 14 Ottawa based Hiphop artists that relate to the two categories were selected as main subjects for Hall of Power, and will be displayed individually in their own photographic portrait.
The Origin Arts & Community Centre serves as the official venue, transforming the space for guests to enjoy light refreshments, live music and performances from the local Hiphop artists, social exchange and of course, exceptional youth photographic art.
