What up New York! Coming to you live from the north side:

COMMON THREADS is a Hip-Hop showcase featuring poetic lyricists King Kimbit (Ottawa, ON), Eyeda Sophia (Toronto, ON), and Kimmortal (Vancouver, BC). Although dispersed throughout colonial Canada, the Common Thread between these three emcees is that each rapper uses their art to speak on and combat the current climate, from racism to misogyny, by creating safer spaces for marginalized Hip-Hop enthusiasts, such as femme and queer folks, to enjoy the art. The north-of-the-border brick, tar, and mortar will be joining forces with familiar New York artists Meditate and Queen Scholar.
